Typically 30–90 days, depending on product category and how complete your documentation is on first submission. We build this timeline into your launch plan from day one rather than treating it as a surprise delay.
What does Dubai Municipality registration cost?
Government fees vary by product type and category, and are separate from our consulting fee. We’ll give you an exact number once we’ve reviewed your product — not a vague range.
Can you work with a brand that has no UAE presence yet?
Yes — most of our clients start exactly there. We coordinate the local registration and distribution structure on your behalf, so you don’t need a UAE entity in place before we begin.
Do you only handle regulatory filing, or the whole launch?
The whole launch, if you want it. Registration is one of four services we offer — we also build pricing models, source distributors, and can stay on for ongoing management. You can also engage us for registration alone if that’s all you need.

Can I sell nutraceuticals in UAE without product registration?
No. Any supplement or nutraceutical product must be registered with Dubai Municipality (via the Montaji portal) before it can be legally imported, distributed, or sold in the UAE. Selling unregistered stock risks seizure at customs, fines, and being blocked from major retail and marketplace channels.
How do I register a supplement in Dubai?
Through Dubai Municipality’s Montaji portal. You’ll need a UAE trade license with the right activity, full product formulation and label details, and supporting documentation such as a Certificate of Free Sale from the country of origin. We handle the submission end to end.
What is the difference between Montaji and FIRS?
Montaji is Dubai Municipality’s system for cosmetics, supplements, and household/detergent products. FIRS (the Food Import and Re-export System, also called the ZAD portal) is the separate system for food and beverage products. Submitting a product to the wrong system results in automatic rejection.
Who can register a cosmetic product in Dubai?
A company holding a valid UAE trade license with the correct trading activity — typically the brand owner’s own licensed UAE entity, or a local distributor or agent registering on the brand’s behalf.
Can a foreign company register products in UAE?
Yes, but only through a UAE-licensed entity. A foreign company without its own UAE trade license generally registers through a local distributor or agent, since Dubai Municipality registration requires a valid UAE trade license tied to the product category.
Do I need a UAE distributor to sell my products?
Not strictly for registration, but almost always in practice. You need a licensed UAE entity somewhere in the chain to hold the registration and to actually get products onto retail shelves or into pharmacies — which is why most first-time brands work through a distributor.
Can I import nutraceuticals into UAE from India?
Yes. Indian manufacturing origin doesn’t change the requirement — the product still needs Dubai Municipality registration (Montaji) and must meet UAE labelling and ingredient rules before it can be imported and sold.
What documents are required for nutraceutical registration in UAE?
Typically: a valid UAE trade license, full formulation/ingredient list, a Certificate of Free Sale or manufacturing license from the country of origin, compliant Arabic and English labelling, and lab test reports where the product category requires them. Exact requirements vary by product.
How long does product registration take in UAE?
It depends on the category. Cosmetics and supplements through Montaji typically take a few weeks with complete documentation; pharmaceutical and medical device registration through EDE usually runs longer. We build the realistic timeline into your launch plan from day one.
Can I sell products on Amazon UAE before registration?
No. Amazon UAE and other major marketplaces require valid UAE product registration for regulated categories — cosmetics, supplements, food — before listing. Selling unregistered regulated products risks account suspension on top of regulatory penalties.
Can a cosmetic product make therapeutic claims in UAE?
No. A product registered as a cosmetic through Montaji cannot carry therapeutic or medical claims — making one reclassifies the product as a pharmaceutical or medical item, which requires a completely different, stricter regulatory pathway.
How do I find a distributor for my product in UAE?
